This one had a lot going on. Broken spring, cables off, worn rollers, damaged drums, and a bent track - all on the same door. It's the kind of job where one problem usually points to several others hiding underneath, and that's exactly what we found here.

The spring is what most people notice first. When it breaks, the door either won't move at all or feels like it weighs a ton. But a broken spring rarely tells the whole story. In this case, the cables had come off, the rollers were worn down, and the drums were damaged enough that they needed to go. On top of all that, the track had taken a hit and needed to be straightened out before anything else could work properly.

We replaced the key hardware and got the track back in line. Every component has a job to do, and when one piece is off, it puts stress on everything else. That's why we don't just fix the obvious problem and call it good - we work through the whole system to make sure it's safe and running the way it should.

A door like this one doesn't just become a hassle overnight. It gets there gradually - a little noise here, a little resistance there, maybe it starts sitting crooked or hesitating on the way up. Those are all warning signs. Waiting on them usually means more parts involved and a bigger repair when you finally do call.

If your garage door is noisy, jerky, or just doesn't feel right, that's your cue to get it looked at. Garage door issues tend to snowball, and catching it early is almost always the easier fix.
